Tension has risen in parts of Lagos following the killing of a suspected cult leader in the Iponri area of Surulere....WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
The victim, identified as Agali, was reportedly a leading figure of the Buccaneers (BAN) cult group and was known to be influential within the Surulere axis, particularly around the Shitta/Akere area.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the night of April 11, 2026. Agali was said to have been shot while driving in the Iponri area.
Reports indicate that Agali was said to be supporting a female candidate in the upcoming election, as opposed to a popular male incumbent candidate in Surulere, and was on the opposing APC side.
Although the Buccaneers have confirmed that a particular rival cult group was used to carry out the attack, many have attributed Agali’s de@th to politics. Agali, whose axis was in the Shitta/Akere area, was reportedly shot while driving his car in the Iponri area.
Tension is extremely high, as the Buccaneers are planning extreme chaos against the rival group they mentioned and are also vowing violence in the upcoming elections. There is a heavy police presence in the area, as residents spotted over 15 police cars this morning.
