He made the clarification during a public engagement, where he addressed questions about his relationship with Gbajabiamila and the speculation of a rift.

He stressed that his relationship with Gbajabiamila remains cordial and rooted in mutual respect and political mentorship developed over the years.

According to him, the reports of a conflict are false and do not reflect their actual interaction, noting that political rumours often emerge during election seasons.

The lawmaker, who is seeking a fourth term in the Lagos State House of Assembly, said his political actions are guided by respect for elders and leaders, a principle he strongly upholds.

He added that competition within constituencies should not be mistaken for personal enmity, explaining that democracy allows multiple ambitions under party structures.

He said, “As a Yoruba boy, we were trained never to have a quarrel with a leader or elder. I can never have a rift with my leader, Hon Gbajabiamila is my leader.”

He emphasized continued loyalty and dismissed further speculation, urging that political discussions should focus on governance and development rather than rumours or personal conflicts. He reaffirmed his commitment to representing Surulere Constituency effectively while maintaining harmony within the political structure of his party and state leadership.
