Okonkwo stressed that politics is a game of numbers and structures, which are built through the deliberate empowerment of followers. He lamented that the culture of working alone, which he attributed to the former governor, does not translate well into a successful national campaign. By failing to build a political family, the candidate has essentially limited his own ability to effectively challenge established powers.
